    An affordable, simple and effective power steering solution for your 1965 - early 67 Mustang (see detailed application below). Convert your manual steering to the safety and convenience of power steering; or replace your worn, complicated factory power steering components with this modern system.

    The integral power steering box eliminates the control valve and steering ram that consistently leak and create that sloppy feeling in your steering wheel. With a 16:1 steering ratio, this power steering box is quicker than the 19:1 stock box; and will make your Mustang feel tighter and more controlled on the highway. The Saginaw pump is much quieter than the stock Ford pump, and provides higher pressure for better low - speed operation.

    The pumps are rebuilt units. All other parts are new. Installation instructions included.


    THIS KIT FITS:
    1965 - Early 67 Mustang 289 (exc. HiPo) with or without manual steering, cast iron water pump, auto transmission, with or without Air Conditioning.
    NOTE: early 67 Mustangs will have a solid, 1 - piece steering shaft. Later 67 Mustang will have a rag joint near the bottom of the steering shaft. For late 67 Mustangs (with rag joint), use our integral PS kits #5652 or 5653.

    Includes: PS gearbox, gearbox mounting bolts, PS pump with pulley, PS pump mounting bracket, PS pump mounting bolts/spacers, PS hoses, steering column shaft, center link, inside firewall column support plate, end column bearing support, u - joint, and pitman arm.
    2 or 3 groove crank pulley and v - belt sold separately.
